Matobo Hills Lodge

Africa's greatest concentration of Black Eagles soar above these hills whilst the rugged terrain below conceals and provides sanctuary to numerous leopards.

Set upon a granite dome above the wild Maleme Valley, Matobo Hills Lodge reflects the spirit of its environment. Landscaped into the surrounding rocks, the lodge's thatched cottages, shady gardens and reflecting pools provide the perfect setting.

Description

Set within a private wildlife reserve bordering Matobo Hills National Park (50km from Buluwayo). There is a separate lounge/bar which commands spectacular 360 degree of Mount IFIFI and the Maleme Valley. A swimming pool has been built into the granite dome to resemble a natural rock pool.

More Information

The Lodge has been an open fleet of safari vehicles and staff of trained guides who operate a wide range of touring activities. Walks and drives to scenic and historical interest include visits to the famous cave paintings, to the historical battle sites and to the grave of Cecil John Rhodes at "View of the world".
